THE PHOTON: Ten Main Awards and the Grand Prize of the Festival
The smallest award in history. It weighs nothing, it changes everything. One prize per category, one grand prize, decided by the five-member professional jury.
The award object is THE PHOTON, a photon resting on a slender plinth. Every award in the family carries the same light; only the body changes. Ten main awards stand in the cabinet, led by Best Director: Best Feature Film, Best Short Film, Best Documentary, Best Screenplay, Best Cinematography, Best Editing, Best Actor, Best Actress, and Best Original Score beside it.
The eleventh is the Grand Prize of the Festival: one film of the first edition carries it, announced at the awards gala on the final night. The five-member professional jury decides every prize, and its decisions are final. On the awards page the whole family stands in a cabinet of renders, Best Director alone at the centre of the top shelf, the other nine three to a shelf below it.
